Retention Specialist Position Description
A leading human resources product solutions company located in Maitland, Florida, seeks talented individual to join our Sales and Marketing team. Our company is dedicated to enabling organizations to keep talented people by reducing unwanted turnover and improving employee engagement.
The Retention Specialist position is critical to the success of the organization. This is an inside sales and marketing support position which has “first touch” contact with the company’s prospects who are comprised of senior managers in Fortune 1,000 organizations. Successful individuals in this position must have a strong desire to succeed, excellent organization and planning skills, be comfortable using consultative selling skills over the phone to influence buyer decisions, and be self motivated.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· 2-5 years sales experience
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Drive sales of e-learning training and consulting services using consultative sales skills over the phone.
· Conduct needs assessments with prospects to determine their level of interest in a retention solution and ultimately hand off to field sales representative.
· Make outbound calls to leads and convert into sales.
· Qualify inbound sales leads from organizations to set appointments for outside sales personnel.
· Learn and demonstrate proficiency with TalentKeepers training software and services solutions.
· Maintain a sales automation system with regular updates on pipeline activities and revenue projections.
· Coordinate and support the sales process with the sales team representatives.
· Build customer relationships.
· Work cross-functionally and within the department to improve processes and support team objectives.
· Work with all resources to help answer or resolve issues for the customer.
· Work with the organization’s marketing department to implement outbound mail campaigns (email and postal), support lead processing from conferences, and analyze the success of marketing campaigns.
· Other administrative duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Sales, marketing, account management, or telesales experience required
· Strong phone skills with excellent listening and business diagnostic skills
· Proficient using MS Office Applications and ACT
· Ability to thrive in an aggressive business development environment
· Excellent at multi-tasking
